Cockroaches Are Finding More Ways To Get Through Your Door!

One of the most profitable industries on the market is cosmetics. Which is very popular among the female species who use makeup to enhance their appearance. On the other entrees in this blog issues with makeup involve brands who produce the make up through animal cruelty as well as other things that is rarely looked down upon by the unaware public. However, can this also affect the consumers in a negative way, such as the quality of which the products they are buying from.
As we go farther down into technological development companies have found ways to increase profit by tweaking the products they sell to the public. In doing so, this will not disrupt the use of the product nor will it decrease the number in sales. Average consumers lack the ability or need to check the ingredients within a product before purchasing it. Often checking the ingredients is associated with edible products, however makeup and cosmetics do have a small sticker showing which ingredients are used, which is mandatory by the FDA. However, for many years the cosmetic industry was free from regulation under the US Food and Drug Administration. This has allowed them to freely make statements about their products that would not necessarily be entirely true and exclude ingredients used within their products.
Protein, which is the most expensive product of makeup ingredients, has recently been further investigated by the FDA that had found the results to be shocking. Cockroaches are being used as cheap protein fillers within beauty products. Cockroaches are disgusting and are not welcomed by humans. These creepy crawlers serve no purpose in nature. Instinctively when finding a cockroach in your house, the first thought that crosses your mind is, what's the best thing I can use to squash it? Other people however, run screaming putting as much distance as possible between them and the cockroach. Or like my mom who sprays enough Raid (insect killer) that causes my dad to rent out a room in a hotel for the next three days. Well now they are in your beauty products.
According to an article from Los Angeles Times cockroaches are being sold for 20$ a pound and cockroach farming is an official business, that is growing by the hundreds. What makes the cockroaches so desirable is that the ability to raise them easily. Cockroaches feed off anything and harvesting them is as simple as boiling them in water and leaving them out in the sun to dry. Scientists have claimed that cockroaches have provided cures for cancer, flaky skin, and hair loss. The prices and demands for cockroaches have now begun to rise faster since 2010. These farms are found in china who earn around 11$ dollars per a 3$ investment. Cockroach farmers have use only a couple species of cockroaches which are preferred by companies because of their rich red-brown color and sizes. So there's no need to worry you will always receive high quality cockroaches for your money.
The issue of companies not including ingredients which they provide such as a cheap replacement is somewhat a degree of scamming the consumer. By using cheaper materials for beauty products, I find it to be unprofessional that large companies use what is unknown to the public to their advantage.
